CIO or Executive Director of an endowment, foundation, penson plan, large family office or other complex organization. I understand what is required to manage both sides of the balance sheet of a institution. The first 15 years of my career, I worked as a global portfolio manager in a traditional long-only environment. For the past seven years, I have been more focused on marketable and non-marketable asset classes: venture capital, private equity, private real estate, credit/distressed, all types of hedge funds, real assets, infrastructure, and energy/natural resources in two institutional pools. I have trained and mentored a dozen portfolio managers and analysts. At the University of Miami, I worked on a number of multi-disciplinary committees and project groups on such topics as: new University-wide 403(b) plan structure; efficiency enhancement for Short-Term Cash Management; endowment outreach and communication within the University community; Student Managed Investment Fund; and Trustee education. Fluent in French, German and Spanish.
