A passionate enthusiast for social and philanthropic engagement, he was the youngest member to serve a three-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Symphony's Symphonix League, a group of young professionals focused on holding events to raise funds for the symphony's educational programs. In 2013, he was nominated as a Man of the Year Candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a national 10-week fundraising campaign that raises millions of dollars annually for blood cancer research. He also served on a committee at the American Red Cross, the San Francisco Symphony's VC 40 leadership committee, and is frequently invited as a speaker and scholarship judge panelist at UC Berkeley.
An accomplished musician, Dominic was in the first violin section of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra (SFSYO) for three seasons, rehearsing and performing at Davies Symphony Hall and collaborating with individuals such as Florence Henderson of The Brady Bunch, ABC's Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez, and violinist Julian Rachlin. In 2008, SFSYO went on a concert tour to Germany and Prague, performing in some of the world's most venerated concert halls, including sold out performances at the Berlin Philharmonie and Smetena Hall.
