Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, hired Twin Creeks Timber to manage $300 million in timberland and committed $200 million to ISQ Cube Hydro Co-Investment Fund, said spokeswoman Liz Mendizabal to Pensions & Investments.

The I Squared Capital co-investment fund is a special purpose vehicle dedicated to WSIB that will co-invest in hydropower deals in the United States and Canada, Ms. Mendizabal said in an e-mail.

She said no additional information was available on the Twin Creeks Timber investment because the information about the investment was presented and discussed in closed session of the $106.8 billion plan’s board.
