Avaya Inc., a telecommunications company backed by Silver Lake and TPG Capital, is pushing deeper into the cloud. Avaya, of Santa Clara, Calif., has spun off some of its cloud-based communications platform and application technologies into an independent subsidiary that will be known as Zang.
