The top 25 hedge fund earners raked in a whopping $15.38 billion in 2017, marking a 40% jump from the year prior and the most that the top-grossing executives collectively generated in four years, according to a new report from Institutional Investor. An average payout of $615 million per individual on the list represents a major turnaround from 2016, when the top 25 collectively earned the least amount that they had as a group since 2005.
