Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, committed more than $1B to five alternative investment vehicles in May according to Pensions & Investments

In private equity, the investment division of the $132 billion pension fund committed $450 million to Blackstone Capital Partners VII, managed by Blackstone Group, and $200 million each to Oaktree Principal Fund VI and OCM Avalon Co-Investment Fund, both managed by Oaktree Capital Management (OAK).

In real estate, TRS committed $150 million to PCCP Equity VII and $50 million to PCCP Clipper Venture I last month, the investment activity report showed.
