Dott is a new scooter and electric bike startup which has raised €20 million to launch in Paris. There are a lot of scooter startups fighting for market share right now, with major players Bird and Lime raising a collective $870 million in the US and expanding to Europe. Dott's cofounder, Maxim Romain, said Europe had room for competition and the market could be worth $35 billion in time. European startup Dott is the latest scooter startup to raise millions from venture capitalists in the hope that city-dwellers will abandon cars and zip around on small electric vehicles.
