Sunsuper is set to merge with a $2.5 billion industry fund in early 2019.: Both established 30 years ago, AustSafe is the super fund for rural and regional Australia with more than 100,000 members. Sunsuper is the fastest growing fund in Australia with about 1.3 million members and $55 billion in funds under management. As such, the merger will create one of the largest superannuation funds in Australia, with $58 billion in assets and about 1.4 million members across 130,000 employers.
