Private equity firms are looking at new ways to win over more Australian listed targets, while many are also considering longer investment horizons to attract a broader range of investors. That is the view of law firm Minter Ellison, which is upbeat on future deal activity as the local industry looks to deploy an estimated $7 billion of capital, backed by conducive financing markets. In a report to be released on Monday, titled Directions in Private Equity, Minter Ellison predicts the hot sectors to attracting investment will be disability, aged and home care services, healthcare, technology, agribusiness and financial services.
