Back in January, the C$227.7 billion Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan made a commitment to a net-zero portfolio by 2050. It was aiming to set interim targets by the end of Q1 but the fund’s journey is a demonstrable reminder of the difficulty in setting targets for large complex global portfolios.
