Bellevue, Wash.-based workflow automation company Nintex will acquire fellow Seattle-area company K2 Software. Both companies sell process automation software. Founded in 2000, K2 counts 30% of the Fortune 100 as customers and has 1.5 million users across 84 countries. The company raised more than $100 million in 2015 from private equity powerhouse Francisco Partners. Nintex said it will have more than 10,000 customers and generate more than $200 million in revenue after the deal is closed. Investment firm Thoma Bravo purchased a majority stake in Nintex two years ago. It’s the third acquisition for Nintex since the Thoma Bravo deal.
