An estimated $15 million worth of high grade gold has been unearthed, including almost 200kg of gold-encrusted rock. : Miners in Western Australia have made a rare and glittering discovery, unearthing an estimated $15 million worth of high grade gold including almost 200 kilograms in gold-encrusted specimen stones. The gold was found after workers made a cut about 500 metres underground at the Beta Hunt mine in Kambalda, about 600 kilometres east of Perth. The mine's geology manager, John Vinar, told Fairfax Media the gold usually found in the mine is invisible to the eye.
