Workers at a McDonald's in Bradford, Pa., walked off the job in early September — another worker rebellion in a season full of them. Even in a place such as Bradford, with its shrinking population and 30 percent poverty rate, low-wage service, workers sensed that they finally had a little power and were eager to use to demand better.
