SALT LAKE CITY — In a perfect world, Ashleigh would be able to stay at home and "watch her kids grow up." But her husband's $14 per hour wage as a foreman/maintenance man isn't enough to make ends meet for the family of four. Ashleigh, 23, has thought about working at night so she could be home during the day with her 3-year-old and 1-year-old, but it's hard to walk away from her receptionist job that pays $11.50 an hour — a decent wage in Kanab, a small tourism-fueled town nestled on the Utah/Arizona border.
