HMC Capital has hired a senior Deutsche Bank portfolio manager to launch a new alternative investments business. Mihir Meswani is joining the Chilean firm's New York office to set up a division charged with finding direct and co-investment opportunities in the US for Latin American investors, the manager said November 7. At Deutsche Bank, Meswani was a senior portfolio manager and head of the hedge fund advisory team in New York, HMC said. In that role, he was in charge of manager selection and of running multi-asset portfolios with a focus on hedge funds, private credit and co-investments.
