The firm’s credit operations are expanding most quickly, helping push assets under management to a record and driving its market value to more than $100 billion for the first time. That helps narrow the gap between itself and Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., the smallest by that measure of the big six banks, and the bank that competes most heavily with Blackstone in the booming businesses of private equity and private credit. The two firms are now less than $20 billion apart in their worth.
