Last time a U.S. hedge fund with big aspirations hired a lot of juniors in London, it ended badly. - Balyasny dangled large pay packages in the direction of interested in 20-something bankers, who duly rushed to join, only for many to find that they were let go again a year or so later. Surveyor Capital is not Balyasny, but it does seem to be setting out its stand for a few junior hires in London. Surveyor, which is an equities unit managing capital for Ken Griffin's enormous hedge fund, Citadel, hired at least two London juniors in the past month.
