With investors nervously watching the Shanghai stock market, Chinese are now the biggest foreign investor of American real estate. Chinese buyers have poured $28.6 billion into U.S. real estate in the past year, more than double the amount spent by Canadians, the second most active buyers, according to the National Association of Realtors.
