The venture capital business now has $3 billion to invest in early stage tech companies. : Accel, a venture capital firm that's invested in companies like Facebook and Slack, has raised a new $575 million fund to invest in European and Israeli startup founders. The fund, which will be used to be back early stage companies, brings Accel's total funds under management up to $3 billion. Accel is one of the largest VC firms with a presence in Europe, along with the SoftBank Vision Fund, Index Ventures, Atomico, and Balderton Capital.
