This position will support investment operations with a focus on Alternative Investments. The position will have exposure to all Alternative Investment asset classes (Absolute Return, Buyout, Private Credit, Real Estate, Other Real Assets, and Venture/Growth) to support day-to-day operational and administrative responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background; knowledge of fundamental investment concepts and financial reporting standards; a passion for continuous improvement; an interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG); and an ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners. Interest in investment operations, resourcefulness, and ability to understand and organize data will be given more weight than immediately relevant experience. Specific responsibilities will include:
Support portfolio management: organizing and processing manager data, including monthly asset
values and performance data for new and prospective investments
Manage State Street / fund administrator related data / workflow:
Risk system workflow and data management
Day-to-day alternative investment operations/transactions data request support
New account setup, fee setup, wire setup, and transfer requests
Continuous effort to improve data archive and automate routine reports
Monitor inbound communications, initiate related workflows and processes, and maintain the
document management system
Collaborate with service providers to better utilize existing offerings and ensure the accuracy of the data that sits on those platforms
Serve as the primary contact for inquiries between the Investments Office, Finance, and third-party vendors
Assist with inquiries related to annual audits
Project manage to prepare materials for investment committee meetings
Prepare ad hoc investment portfolio monitoring reports
Support transaction / deal execution
