KP Partners (KFP) is a single-family investment office based in the Chicago area. We are looking for a talented Senior Associate to join our growing team. KFP invests with fund managers across a range of asset classes including liquid equities, hedge funds, private equity and real assets. In addition, KFP selectively pursues co-investments and direct investments. Under the day-to-day leadership of its President and recently hired Chief Investment Officer, KFP is still building its investment team and refining its internal research and risk management functions. This represents a unique opportunity to be an integral, early member of a small, high-functioning team that values independent thinking, creativity and hard work.
Responsibilites:
- Manager Due Diligence assisting in the research and analysis of potential investments with primary responsibility for analysis and documentation
- Portfolio Monitoring overseeing information inflows from existing managers and assisting in evaluating, benchmarking and summarizing results
- Performance Reporting playing a critical role in managing the processes related to portfolio reporting and overseeing any related service providers relationships
- Board Reporting providing support in the creation of regular and ad-hoc materials for KFP's Investment Counsel, Investment Committee and Board of Directors
- Internal Process helping to continually improve internal workflows and ensure adherence to specified guidelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with a track record of outstanding academic achievement
- 3 to 6 years of prior work experience in a highly analytical role (applicable roles include asset management, consulting or banking)
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Strong numeracy, modeling skills and attention to detail
- Track record of impeccable professional behavior
- Ability to work well both collaboratively and autonomously
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Interest in investing of all sorts
