INVESTMENT PROFESSIONAL, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo), to work directly with investment professionals across the organization to identify and evaluate investment opportunities with external investment managers. Will find creative ways to source interesting investments; meet with investment managers and their teams to understand their investment strategies and judgment, financial and ethical alignment with partners, and how well they have structured their firms; handle research projects on topics ranging from analysis of major investment trends to introspective reviews of MITIMCo’s process, decisions, and performance; and develop and use analytical tools to aid in the investment process. The supplemental research process will include analysis of individual portfolio investments, reference calls, and quantitative analysis of investment strategies and performance.
REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree or MBA in any discipline; outstanding track record of accomplishments and excellence; a passion for investing; the desire to work in a small, collaborative environment where you can quickly make an impact; superior oral and written communication skills; strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-orientation; and ability to prioritize, take on significant responsibilities right away, be flexible and manage own time, and develop creative ideas on how to approach the challenges of endowment management.
