The Investment Operations Manager will assess, develop, document, implement, and monitor all operational procedures related to internal controls, performance measurement and accounting, internal and external reporting, manager due diligence, third party vendor relationships, the annual audit, regulatory compliance, and transactions and data management. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Qualified candidates will have experience devising and executing operations for an investment manager or manager of managers. The ideal candidate has a knack for creatively solving complex problems and is passionate about creating best in class systematic operational processes for the management of Carleton College’s endowment portfolio.

Carleton College's Investment Office is responsible for day-to-day management of the endowment portfolio. The work location will be in the Carleton College Investment Office located at 50 South Sixth Street, Suite 1440, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55402. The position reports to the Chief Investment Officer, works with each Investment Office team member, and collaborates with the Carleton Business Office.

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from an academically rigorous institution; 5+ years of experience in an investment environment with responsibility for managing and executing operations; A strong knowledge of Investment Office processes as described in full job description; An understanding of the operational aspects of investment strategies and different asset classes; Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and experience working with a broad range of constituencies.
