We are currently seeking a disciplined individual to work within the Investments area of the Financial Services Office. The successful candidate will be required to exhibit professional and competent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, investments, spreadsheets, and databases. They will be required to exercise discretion and creativity on assignments of a varied and diverse nature, embrace FSO’s values and demonstrate a willingness to apply these values in their work and their interactions with others.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completing numerous financial reports (i.e., returns, exposure, asset allocation etc.) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare and record investment transactions including investment income, buys, sells, amortization, and security transfers
• Working closely with accountants to understand financial system data
• Reconcile three ways between securities program, University’s accounting system, and custodial bank
• Analyzing fixed income holdings and equity securities
• Processing payments to vendors
• Assisting in maintaining and filing relevant documents and other organizational duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and database software such as MS Excel and MS Access
• Knowledge of finance and investments
