Responsible for daily/monthly portfolio positioning and risk reports. Build a detailed knowledge of the fixed income investment process, portfolios, objectives, risk metrics, and guidelines. Look to enhance existing and develop new analytical tools and reports where possible. Key point person for US Credit Team with HSBC’s internal quantitative team. Have a deep understanding of the risk calibration process and outputs. Be able to develop and update risk calibrations for existing portfolios and proposals.
As their Jr Portfolio Analyst you will:

Work in tandem with senior/more experienced Portfolio Analyst to share responsibilities for inputs and outputs toward the Global Fixed Income Process/Platform

Work with Investment team to implement trades, rebalancing and maintenance of portfolios of Innovation Bank clients versus model portfolios

Work with Portfolio Analyst(s) on behalf of US Credit team regarding HSBC’s proprietary analytics system. Have a deep understanding of the module and liaise with internal analytics team to roll out new features and developments. Enhance existing processes where applicable

Ownership of key meeting collateral and inputs for weekly and bi-weekly committees

Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Investment Specialist and RFP teams producing qualitative and quantitative materials including ad-hoc marketing collateral

Learn Captain function in State Street in order to process corporate actions on behalf of PMs

Collaborate with Portfolio Managers on long-term initiatives to enhance the portfolio analytics process
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $71,400.00 and $107,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
