Verus is in search of a Senior Performance Analyst to join our Seattle or Pittsburgh office, or join remotely from the Chicago area until an office is established there. Candidates should be process-minded, detail oriented, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with some knowledge of performance measurement and reporting.

The Senior Performance Analyst is primarily responsible for performance calculation and report production of our most complex client portfolios.  Senior Performance Analysts act as a constant resource for less experienced analysts, offering mentorship, training, support, and quality control in the form of data and report reviews.  Individuals in this role are expected to stabilize essential group functions by leading aspects of important processes/deliverables and having working knowledge of other essential functions. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Expertise on each assigned client portfolio by tracking, monitoring and calculating performance and producing monthly and quarterly performance reports.   

  • Assist consultants and clients by providing exceptional support to meet their needs  

  • Mentoring and training less tenured analysts on complex portfolios to expand knowledge base of our most difficult plans, extensive quality control for “collaborative” reporting clients.  Collaborative reporting clients are typically high-fee, complex portfolios  

  • Formal and informal training of new analysts, knowledge center and support for all analysts  

  • Peer-review monthly data calculations and deliverables ensuring accuracy and timeliness  

  • Manage cross-functional projects  

  • Liaise with Director of Performance Analytics  

  • Process leadership 

 

Prerequisites:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or Accounting; Business emphasis is a plus 

  • 5 years commensurate work experience with performance reporting and calculation, preferably with an institutional consulting firm  

  • Experience with InvestmentMetrics or InvestorForce performance calculation software a plus 

  • Experience with programming languages (Microsoft VBA, SQL) a plus  

  • CIPM designation, or interest, a plus 

 

Salary:  

$70,000-$115,000 annual  

Salary offered to candidates is determined by factoring in market pay, internal peer equity, education, credentials, relevant skills and expertise, past employment experience, and geographic pay differentials.
