A prestigious single-family office is seeking a Data Analyst. You will be managing quantitative research projects to assist with the single-family office’s investment decisions and risk management. This is a unique opportunity to contribute towards the family office’s understanding of investment opportunities across all asset classes, with a strong emphasis on alternatives. You will need to be team-oriented, intellectually curious, diligent, creative and self-motivated to succeed in this role.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing risk analytics and analytical support on prospective and current investment strategies to the investment team of a single-family office

• Conducting research using quantitative frameworks and models to help identify investment opportunities and risks across all asset classes

• Using data analytics to identify and anticipate financial market trends

• Contributing towards the development of asset allocation targets

• Drafting memoranda detailing research recommendations to the investment committee

Requirements:

• Three to five years of experience in data, research or quantitative analytics for an investment institution

• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university

• Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative data and/or statistics

• Strong computational programming skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to tackle numerous projects simultaneously and work independently.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree from a top-tier university

• CFA qualified

• Familiarity with Matlab, Tableau, Risk Plus, SQL, Python, VBA and/or APIs

• Candidates with a strong link to Philadelphia

Some non-U.S. travel is required. Compensation and benefits are commensurate with similar investment roles and dependent on experience.
